The Wonder Girls have been invited to yet another huge event, and this time it’s the International Show of Peace Concert! The global peace concert, which will be held in the Bird’s Nest Stadium (where the 2008 Summer Olympics took place) in Beijing, China on April 17, 2010 (40th Earth Day anniversary), will be broadcast worldwide and is expected to be the largest globally televised concert event in the history of China.

The artist list hasn’t been confirmed, but the legendary Jimmy Page, Aerosmith, Prince and of course, the Wonder Girls have been confirmed to perform at the main stages.

According to the current artists page on the official event website, other world-famous artists including Beyonce, Kanye West, Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga, Black Eyed Peas, Alicia Keys, Green Day, Maroon 5, Christina Aguilera, the Backstreet Boys, Kelly Clarkson, Jennifer Lopez, Katy Perry, Usher, Mariah Carey, Coldplay, Justin Timberlake and many more will also be invited to perform at this event.

The International Show of Peace Concert will be the first ever global peace concert featuring celebrities, musicians and world leaders in an effort to reach out and communicate to the rest of the world how we can all join together on the road toward peace and a more sustainable and cleaner environment. “The Show of Peace” on April 17, 2010, live from Beijing, China, will be broadcast worldwide through both television and new media to a potential audience of over two billion people. The concert will honor Peace and Harmony as well as the 40th Anniversary of Earth Day with support for green initiatives.

For the first time ever, through the universal language of music, people from around the world will unite under the banner of Show of Peace and in the spirit of Earth Day for a globally televised live concert from Beijing. The event will feature top international and Chinese artists, along with special celebrity guests discussing the importance of protecting the planet and fostering peace.
